Research Paper Winter reveriesIn Winter Dreams, by F. Scott Fitzgerald, dextrals dream can be related to the American Dream, but Fitzgerald represents it negatively, basically saying that the reality is the American Dream can never be reached. F. Scott Fitzgeralds carriage is a tragic example of both sides of the American Dream the joys of young love, wealth and success, and the tragedies associated with excess and failure which shows through in this story (F. Scott).The American Dream is what every American wants to achieve. Which is basically wealth and a good looking spouse. Well this is exactly what Dexter Green wanted from the time he was 14 years old. He starts off working as a caddie at the Sherry Island Golf Club to associate and make connections wit the wealthy heap there. He wanted not association with glittering things and people, but wanted the glittering things themselves (Fitzgerald). Dexter Green eventually goes to college, and while there makes good investments th at makes him wealthy.When Dexter Green meets Judy Jones, he sees that she is the most beautiful ...
